A Virginia dad says he and his 6-year-old son made a prehistoric find during a recent trip to a South Carolina beach.
According to WSET-TV, Brandon Overstreet and his son, Luke, of Bedford, Virginia, were searching for shark teeth at Myrtle Beach when they discovered what appeared to be a megalodon tooth.

According to the Florida Museum, the massive predators were "the largest shark to ever live in our oceans" and have been extinct for 2.6 million years.
