A California woman had no trouble sleeping through fireworks on the Fourth of July, but a young mountain lion crashing through a window and landing on her bed woke her in a hurry.

Security footage from an apartment complex showed a mountain lion running in front of a pickup truck and then crashing into the front door of a bowling alley, Fox News reported.

The big cat then ran into the parking lot of the apartment complex nearby and was startled by a resident. The mountain lion then crashed through a window and landed on the sleeping woman's bed.
"She was asleep and it landed on her bed and actually, at first, I think she said she thought she was dreaming," apartment manager Francis Muniz told Fox News.

The woman remained calm and opened her back door, and the bleeding animal ran away.

Wildlife officials said mountain lions are common in the area, and the Colusa County Fish and Wildlife Commission said it will be holding a community meeting to discuss the issue, Fox News reported.
