Sarah Geiger said her daughters, 5-year-old twins and a 1-year-old, have burn marks from a spring break trip at a Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, resort, and the resort did little to help.
Geiger said she noticed what she calls burns after her children played in the pool at Chula Vista Resort.
"I noticed they had what looked like sunburn marks or some kind of burns on her cheek, chin and shoulder," Geiger told WISC Friday.
Geiger said the front desk gave her some cortisone cream for her children's burns, but it made things worse, so an emergency medical technician was sent to her room.
"They sent two security guards and an EMT," Geiger said. "That is when they said it was some type of burn (but) they didn't clarify as to what."
Geiger said she took her kids to a doctor, who said the burns were from high chlorine levels in the pool.
Chula Vista Resort, which said no other guests have made similar complaints, said water is tested multiple times a day and it is within state requirements.
It went on to say the pool is sanitized by UV disinfection and chlorine.
The resort also said it is working closely with the family.
A family says their three girls suffered chemical burns from playing in a pool at Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells.
