A Texas mom is behind bars after police said she let a man sexually assault her young daughter for $400.
According to the Odessa American, authorities charged Shirley Harmon, 36, with first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child Sunday, nearly two weeks after she was arrested on a child endangerment charge for allegedly not reporting the sexual abuse, the Ector County Sheriff's Office said.
Investigators said Harmon admitted to accepting $400 from Gary Landredth, 62, in exchange for "access to the girl," the American reported.
Landredth, who is accused of sexually abusing Harmon's daughter from 2017 to 2019, was charged Jan. 14 with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, according to the newspaper. He was released Jan. 24 on $50,000 bail.
Harmon is being held on $50,000 bond, the American reported.
