McDonald's reportedly has fired an employee who was caught on camera throwing water on a homeless man at a drive-through in Detroit.

According to the Detroit Free Press, franchise owner Wise Finley said he was "very disturbed by the inappropriate behavior of this employee."

"This type of behavior is not tolerated in my organization," Finley said. "I expect my employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect, and this was unacceptable. This individual no longer works for my organization."

"I think we forget sometimes that people experiencing homelessness are just like you and I," Tasha Gray of the Homeless Action Network of Detroit told the Free Press. "We have working families who just don't have enough means to make ends meet. I like to tell my staff that we're one missed paycheck away from homelessness."

Total Life Christian Ministries Pastor Bishop Daryl Harris added, "To use the food that he was asking for to lure him over and assault him in that manner, it was just cruel."
