The "Golden Arches" are not so golden right now after the company announced that it will be closing hundreds of its restaurants across the globe this year.
According to Fortune, the restaurant has closed 350 locations so far in 2015 and will close at least another 350 more over the coming months.
McDonald's operates 32,500 locations all over the world, so 700 in the greater scheme is only a fraction.
The complete plan to trim losses will be released May 4, according to CNN Money.
Industry watchers are blaming consumers push for healthy and fresh options like Chipotle.
To also offset the financial losses, McDonald's is restructuring its menu by offering all-day breakfast an sirloin burgers, CNN Money reported.
