The manager of so-called "hot felon" Jeremy Meeks says she has been receiving death threats ever since she started representing him.
Meeks, who was arrested in Stockton earlier this month for alleged gang activity, became an instant internet celebrity after his mug shot was posted to the Stockton Police Facebook page and went viral.
The photo garnered more than 30,000 "likes" in the space of a few days, drawing comments praising his high cheek bones, chiseled face and striking blue eyes.
Several pages in praise of Meeks have been set up with one community page drawing well over 200,000 likes.
Even behind bars, Meeks has gotten offers from modeling agencies and reality television shows.
To handle the requests, his family hired manager Gina Rodriguez to represent him.
Rodriguez said she has gotten over two dozen harassing phone calls since taking Meeks on as a client.
She has asked the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to investigate the threats.
