Police said that when they found John Bedwell and the ball python behind a sub shop, he also had a cup filled with beer -- a red Solo cup filled with beer, WRCB reported.

Bedwell has been charged with theft and for having an open container.

He's been released on bond, WRCB reported.

Police said an albino frog is still missing, and people in the area are being asked to keep an eye out for it.
