A Texas man was shot in the face with his own gun Thursday as he tried to rob a fireworks stand, police said.
The 19-year-old man, who has not been identified, walked up to the stand around 4 p.m. and demanded cash, KTRK reported.
Police said an employee placed money on the counter and, when the suspect went to pick it up, he set down his gun, KTRK reported.
Another employee then grabbed the gun and shot the suspect in the face, KTRK reported.
The suspect's condition is unknown, KTRK reported.
