A California man gave new meaning to the slogan “Snap, Crackle and Pop” after firing a shotgun shell stuffed with Rice Krispies at another man Wednesday, police said.

Timothy Glass Jr., 29, shot the victim in the hand around 3:25 p.m. using a flare gun loaded with a shotgun shell containing the breakfast cereal, according to KRCR.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He identified Glass as the shooter, but chose not to pursue charges against him.

Glass was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and violating probation.
