A Pahokee, Florida man was arrested Saturday morning after he repeatedly called 911 to complain about getting thrown out of an adult entertainment club in unincorporated Riviera Beach, according to an arrest report.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Scores Palm Beach around 4 a.m. and met with Montrell Miller, who said he was unjustly told to leave the club. A deputy told Miller that the club was within its rights to deny service and remove customers as it wished.
Miller was told he needed to leave the area or he could be arrested for trespassing.
But after leaving, Miller allegedly called 911 six times during a 41-minute period. The report said that Miller called to report a shooting at the club, resulting in several deputies rushing to the scene.
On his final call, Miller told the dispatcher he would wait for a deputy nearby at a gas station “to explain…why he was upset and why he continued to call 911,” according to the report.
Miller repeated that it wasn’t right that he was thrown out of the club and complained that deputies didn’t take his side, the report said. Miller added that calling 911 repeatedly was wrong but thought “if he kept calling, eventually someone would listen to him and side with him.”
Miller is facing a charge of misusing the 911 system and was released on his own recognizance from the Palm Beach County Jail.
