Playing “Pokemon Go” turned scary for a South Florida man, who found himself looking down the barrel of a gun after pulling into a private driveway.
Citing a police report, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that Jawad Awan, 26, was playing the popular smartphone game Aug. 12 in Geoffrey Goldstein’s driveway when the former California policeman pulled a handgun from his waistband.
Goldstein said there had been several break-ins next door to his Broward County residence, adding that Awan did not explain why he was trespassing, according to the police report. Goldstein searched Awan’s pockets for weapons before calling authorities, according to the police report.
When police arrived, they found Awan on the ground. Awan said he didn't realize he was on private property, according to the police report. No charges were filed.
