Police in Canton responded to a call at Splash Kingdom Waterpark at 5 p.m., park president Johnny Blevins told KETK.

Authorities said the man was pulled from a 10-foot-deep pool in the park's Volcano Mountain slide attraction, and park workers were administering CPR when police arrived, the television station reported.

The man, whose name was not released, was flown to a hospital in Tyler, where he was pronounced dead, The Dallas Morning News reported. Authorities said an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of the man's death, the newspaper reported.

In a statement, Blevins said, “We are praying for the family of this man, as well as the lifeguard team that responded to him. The health and safety of all our guests is our highest priority and we are honored by the opportunity to serve you and your family.”
