A man has been convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl, but the defendant is missing.
A national search is underway for Gary Simmons.
Simmons disappeared Monday after the jury started deliberating.
A jury found him guilty Tuesday morning of two counts of first-degree rape.
Sentencing has been delayed until authorities can track down Simmons. He faces up to 50 years in prison.
