A man accused of raping three young children in Maryland was arrested in Georgia, authorities said.

Franklin Rodriquez, 33, was arrested in Lilburn on Friday by deputies and U.S. Marshals, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

He allegedly abandoned his Maryland business and fled the state after one of the three children notified police, the post said. No other information on the Maryland accusations were provided, and AJC.com has reached out to the sheriff's office to learn more.

He remains in the Gwinnett County jail without bond, awaiting extradition to Maryland to face his charges.
