A Chicago man is facing felony charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated battery of a child, along with misdemeanor charges of battery and aggravated assault of a peace officer, after allegedly choking an 8-year-old girl in a deli bathroom.

According to FOX32, the girl let out a scream after walking into a Jason's Deli bathroom and finding Reese Hartstirn, 33, there.

When the girl’s mother walked in, she saw the man carrying her passed out child into a stall. Hartstirn allegedly choked her out.

Other patrons of the deli helped restrain Hartstirn until police arrived.

The serious charges he faces will be addressed for the first time at a Monday hearing.
