A Washington County man is accused of assaulting his pregnant wife twice after throwing a goldfish out of a car window, according to Channel 11's news exchange partners at TribLIVE.

Calvin Davis, 27, of Carroll Township, is facing simple assault and harassment charges in connection to the alleged assault, which happened early Saturday morning.

Police told TribLIVE that April Davis, Calvin Davis’ wife, said she and her husband got into an argument while driving home.

April Davis told police that while she was driving, her husband threw the goldfish and a fish bowl out of the window and onto Route 88, TribLIVE reported. When she got out of the car to get the fish and bowl, her husband also got out and dragged her across the pavement.

Calvin Davis then allegedly got back into the car and drove away without his wife, according to TribLIVE.

Police told TribLIVE that April Davis walked home, where her husband allegedly knocked her to the ground, jumped on her and told her not to tell anyone about what happened.

TribLIVE reported that April Davis was taken to Jefferson Hospital. Information on her condition was not made available.
