Lovebird kayakers on first date rescued from raging Indiana river

An Indianapolis couple certainly picked a dangerous spot for a first date.
The pair, a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, went kayaking on the raging White River on Saturday. The first date took an unexpected turn when the couple found themselves in turbulent waters and capsized, according to The Indianapolis Star.
The Indianapolis Fire Department sent out a team that rescued the kayakers, who were both wearing life jackets, from the roiling waters near a dam on the river.
Both were taken to an area hospital, where the woman is listed in serious but stable condition and the man is in fair condition, the newspaper reported.
