WSB-TV has obtained a lawsuit against Nick Gordon alleging he abused girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown and stole "in excess of $11,000 from Brown's bank account while she was in the hospital."
The lawsuit was filed in Fulton County Superior Court Wednesday by Atlanta attorney Bedelia Hargrove who was appointed conservator and "responsible for Krissi's assets, including her likeness, rights and legal claims," a statement from the family's attorneys said at the time.
The lawsuit comes on the same day Pat Houston, Bobbi Kristina's aunt and co-guardian, released a statement saying Brown had been placed in hospice.
For months Gordon has pleaded with the Brown family to let him see Bobbi Kristina, but the family has continually refused. Hargrove is seeking $10 million in punitive damages against Gordon over the alleged abuse.
The lawsuit claims in January 2014 Gordon "perpetuated the fraud that he had married Brown, though in fact he never did so."
"The misrepresentation that (Gordon) was Brown's 'husband' was used to control Brown and limit with whom she could interact," the suit claims.
The lawsuit alleges that Gordon would transfer large amounts of money from Brown into a bank account controlled solely by him.
Another claim says Gordon physically abused Brown, "including punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth, and dragging her upstairs by her hair."
"Brown had confided to someone that (Gordon) was not the man she thought he was," the suit said.
The suit says Brown was supposed to meet with that person the same day she was found facedown in a bathtub inside her Roswell home.
In May, Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina's father, and Pat Houston were named co-guardians of the 22-year-old. A third party was granted authority to handle Bobbi Kristina's financial matters.
Gordon's attorney told WSB-TV they have no comment over the lawsuit.
