Malcolm jumped from his chair and kissed Julie, who was overwhelmed with tears of joy. Footage of their heartwarming reaction was shared on YouTube.

"Normally I'm a little settled, wherever I've been, following him I've always taken footage of him," Malcolm told The Project. "But today I got away from it, I was absolutely over (the) moon and I went for it. Yes, what a tremendous win."

Chalmers, 18, came out of nowhere to complete the race in 47.58 seconds, according to London's Daily Mail. Cameron McEvoy, Chalmers' teammate and the favorite to win, came in seventh.
