Four people were shot – three fatally – Tuesday night near the University of Maryland, KOKI-TV reports.
Baltimore police responded around 10:30 p.m. to a shooting a few blocks from the campus.
Medics took a man and a woman to a hospital, where they died, officials said. Another man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A fourth victim reportedly walked into the hospital later with a gunshot wound. That person is expected to be OK, police said.
A statement on the school’s website said police reported two gunmen in vans.
The vans pulled over near a group of people and began firing, police said.
Students were advised to avoid the area.
