Four people were injured and one victim was killed following a violent night of shootings in the city.
Police say they took six guns off the street in three separate shootings that happened within one hour near the Caribbean festival.
The first shooting took place on Blue Hill Avenue just before 1:55 a.m. on Saturday morning. Police say the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. The second shooting happened just after 2:20 a.m. on Boden Street. Police say the second victim also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The third happened just after 2:40 a.m. on Creston Street in Dorchester. Three people were shot and one victim, a man in his 20s, died. Police say no arrests have been made and no suspect information is immediately available.
The shootings come the same weekend as the Caribbean Festival, which has historically been one of the most violent nights all year. Dawn Jaffier, 26, was killed last year when she was caught in the cross fire of a gang fight.
