Kanye West did not vote on Election Day, but the hip-hop artist told a California concert crowd Thursday night that if he had cast a ballot, it would have been for Donald Trump.

Twitter member @albertoreyes, who attended the second leg of West's Saint Pablo tour at the SAP center in San Jose, filmed West talking to the crowd. At one point, West talked about the election and then mentioned Trump, the Republican candidate who defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton.

“I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? What I didn’t tell you — if I were to have voted I would have voted on Trump,” West said, drawing boos and cheers from the crowd.

West, who announced this summer he was running for president in 2020, made his statement during a two-hour show before a large crowd. One fan in the crowd, who only identified himself as Raptor, told the New York Daily News that West's presidential preference was among the least controversial things he said all night.

"He said that black people should get over racism and that they need to stop complaining about racism," Raptor told the Daily News, adding West interrupted the show at least 15 times to hold rambling monologues on politics.

West told the audience he was an average guy who enjoyed watching political debates.

“I’m a human being too, I have feelings, I liked the debates, I’m a guy and a rapper, I’m a non-political rebel, the debates were entertaining,” he told the crowd.

The concert in San Jose show was West’s first since Election Day.
