The latest, named tropical storm has formed in the Bahamas.
Tropical Storm Joaquin formed Monday northeast of the central Bahamas and is traveling west with winds of 40 mph.
It is not expected to threaten Florida, but may make landfall in the mid-Atlantic, The Palm Beach Post reported.
It is expected to turn north by Wednesday night.
No coastal watches or warnings were in effect Monday, but the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said the storm could strengthen over the next few days, The Associated Press reported.
The east coast from North Carolina to New Jersey could be impacted, AL.com reported.
