A major computer problem at JetBlue early Monday morning has been resolved, officials with the airline told Boston's WFXT and Charlotte's WSOC-TV.
Around 6 a.m., the airline was tweeting that all of its computers were down and had been for at least an hour. The computer system was back up and running about 6:15 a.m, according to WFXT.
Pictures were posted on social media platforms of long lines at airports in Boston; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta; and Orlando.
Lines wrapped around the JetBlue terminals at Boston's Logan Airport. Passengers were told they needed an actual boarding pass to check in because of the computer issues.
Witnesses at Logan Airport told WFXT that no one was going anywhere and the scene was "crazy."
JetBlue released a statement apologizing for the inconvenience and saying that they were working to resume normal operations. JetBlue added that customers may experience some delays throughout the day.
