An Arizona woman is jailed on charges of shooting and killing her husband during an argument Friday night at a home in Peoria, according to news reports.
Christine Eve Ann Deason, 46, allegedly yelled, "I hope you die," after shooting her husband multiple times, KNXV-TV reported.
Deason, who called 911, first told police the couple, who were separating, argued in the backyard and that her spouse, whose identity was not immediately released, assaulted her and chased her into the home where she grabbed a gun, KNXV reported.
A roommate in the home, however, told police a different version of events, including that neither person was running when they entered the home, but they were arguing.
The witness reported hearing several gunshots and the victim asking Deason if she was going to kill him, the news station reported. The witness then reportedly heard her say, "I hope you die … I hope you go to hell."
Deason is jailed on a $1 million bond on second-degree murder charges.
