Many took their first steps of education at South Elementary School and 50 graduating seniors from Prince George High School returned to their elementary roots as they prepared to end their high school careers.
Not only does it bookend the education for the graduating seniors, it also shows the elementary school students what can be achieved.
"The idea is to let elementary students know the goal is to finish high school, and hopefully, when they look at the seniors it will inspire them to be like one of them and finish high school," superintendent Renee Williams told the Progress Index.
Former South Elementary staff members were invited to come back to their school and see their past students.
Some of the seniors received gifts of artwork from their younger counterparts as memories of their times in the school came flooding back, the Progress Index reported.
