A teen with autism finally got his moment in the spotlight after spending four years dreaming about it.

Jeffrey Creighton has been helping his team, the Chantilly High School Chargers, from the sidelines as manager of the his high school football team in Chantilly, Virginia.

Jeffrey has a form of autism called fragile X, but has always wanted to play on the team.

"I love to play football," Creighton told WJLA.

On Friday, he finally got his monent, thanks to an idea footbal coach Mike Lalli came up with a few months back.

During the last game of his high school career, Jeffery finally suited up and joined his teammates on the field.

"(Jeffery) couldn’t stop smiling, he was so excited," Lalli said. "He hasn’t stopped talking all week about it."

"It’s emotional because never did we think he would be in a uniform ready to play a high school game," said mom Andrea Creighton.
