A historical reenactment of the gunfight at the OK Corral became a little too real when one of the history buffs accidentally shot another Sunday afternoon.

One of the men, Tom Carter, showed up late and did not have his gun properly inspected, KOLD reported.

Carter's gun apparently had live rounds instead of blanks.

When he fired his gun toward Ken Curtis, Curtis was wounded in the upper groin area, KOLD reported.

He was flown to an area hospital.

Officials said Carter's gun had not only one, but six live rounds in it before the reenactment.

Two bullets hit businesses nearby, officials told KOLD.

A woman was also hit by shrapnel, but refused medical treatment, sheriff's department officials said.

Officials said that it was an isolated incident and that safety protocols will be enforced before any events.
