Police in Hamburg, Germany, said at least 111 officers were injured Thursday night as they clashed with protesters at the site of this weekend's G20 summit, CNN reported.

Police made 29 arrests but did not elaborate on the reasons, CNN reported. Police used water cannons to forcibly remove protesters. One protester was injured, CNN reported.

More protests were planned for Friday.
