Friends of Randy Janzen, a Canadian man who allegedly confessed on Facebook to slaying three family members last week before killing himself, are in shock as the investigation continues into the deaths.
In the unverified post, which apparently was published Thursday but has since been deleted, Janzen reportedly said he shot his 19-year-old daughter, Emily, in the head to relieve her suffering from migraines. The post said he later killed his wife, Laurel, and sister, Shelly, according to NBC News.

"Now my family is pain free and in heaven," the post apparently said. "I have great remorse for my actions and feel like the dirt that I am. I am taking full responsibility for my actions of these murders. So sorry to anyone I have hurt. Rest in peace my little family. Love Daddio xoxo."
Longtime friend Brian Jones told the Toronto Star that he didn't believe what he was reading until he saw that the post was signed "Daddio," Janzen's "signature nickname."
"Deep down, I knew it was real," Jones said.
But Jones said Janzen did not have a violent past.
"He never hurt a fly in his whole life," Jones said. "When we were all young and getting in fist fights, Randy didn't do that."
Another friend, Shane Dwight, said Emily, a singer, "was everything to [Janzen]."
"But I guess that last year or two, the migraines and depression became so severe that he just couldn't take it anymore," Dwight told the Star.
The Winnipeg Free Press said several members of a family were found dead at two locations in British Columbia's Fraser Valley. Police would not reveal the victims' identities. According to the CBC, investigators said the findings appear to be consistent with the Facebook post, and authorities are looking into the family's recent history.
