Mark Rober, a former mechanical engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, has created the ultimate office toy: a giant functional NERF dart gun.
The gun is modeled after Hasbro's "Nerf N-Strike Maverick" but on a larger scale. Instead of using regular NERF darts, Rober's contraption uses plungers wrapped with pool noodles. The darts are propelled by a 3,000 pounds per square inch (psi) paintball tank according to Rober in his video.
The gun is regulated so it shoots at about 80 psi per shot which only allows for around 20 shots before a new canister is needed.
