A former butler for Donald Trump is getting attention for his comments about President Obama, according to Mother Jones.
Anthony Senecal worked as a butler for Trump when the current presumptive Republican presidential nominee bought the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
Sencal, 84, was a butler at the property before Trump bought it. He has worked there since 1959.
Senecal told Mother Jones that Trump said he "came with the furniture" when Trump bought the estate in 1985.
He worked as Trump's butler for 17 years, and when he asked Trump if he could resign in 2009, Trump persuaded him to stay as a Mar-a-Lago historian.
Senecal has since made money giving tours of the estate. He is not paid as a historian.
The property is still under Trump's ownership.
In Senecal's Facebook tirade, which contains explicit language, he tells his Facebook friends that the president "should have been taken out by our military and shot as an enemy agent in his first term."
A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign told Mother Jones, "This individual has not worked at Mar-a-Lago for many years."
This is not the first time that Senecal has made such a post.
Mother Jones reported that Senecal wrote on April 21, 2015, that the president should be "hung for treason." On May 23, 2015, he called for a "second American Revolution" to get the president out of office.
"It's all me," Senecal said of the posts.
"I'm not calling for an assassination. I don't believe in an assassination, but I think he needs to be hung," Senecal told The Palm Beach Post, which previously profiled the former butler. "He's a traitor."
As for his most recent remarks, Senecal told Mother Jones: "I wrote that. I believe that."
