A California high school cheerleader recently diagnosed with leukemia is getting support from the team she supports on the field – her football team.
At a game Friday night, each member of Foothill High School's football team laid an orange rose at the feet of Ashley Adamietz, KRCR-TV reported.
Orange is the designated color for leukemia awareness.
The senior cheerleader was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in early August. Her cheer coach, Becki Smith, told KRCR-TV the teen has been going through daily chemotherapy treatments ever since.
Her school has been supportive through her treatments.
