Florida woman who pulled alligator from pants gets probation

Aug 16, 2019A Florida woman who pulled an alligator out of her yoga pants during a traffic stop has been sentenced to probation.
Charlotte County deputies pulled over a pickup truck for running a stop sign in May. The driver, Michael Clemons, 22, told investigators he and Ariel Machan-Le Quire, 25, had been collecting snakes and frogs.
Investigators asked to search the vehicle and found 41 turtles in a “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” backpack. When authorities asked if there were any other animals, Machan-Le Quire pulled out a foot-long alligator.
Clemons' case is pending.
