A Deltona woman thought she was dreaming that an intruder entered her home early Saturday, but it was no dream.
Police said the woman was in bed and thought she saw a man in her room briefly around 2:41 a.m., but she initially dismissed it. When she woke, she realized that two wallets, a purse, a smartphone, and a tablet were missing.
The victim told a neighbor, who in turn called the police. Authorities said one of the stolen wallets was found in the woods with a crowbar, WKMG reported.
Officers tracked Sean Whalen,25, to his home, located less than a half-mile away from the victim's home. At Whalen’s house officers found a duffle bag and backpack with the woman's stolen items inside. Police determined that he was responsible for other robberies in the area as well, WKMG reports.
Sean Whalen, 25, was arrested on charges of "grand theft, burglary of an occupied dwelling and possession of a schedule IV substance."
