A Florida woman is accused of hitting a child in the head with a Taser during a fight at a middle school.

Susan Mary Strahsmeier, 42, of Gulport, was arrested on felony charges of child abuse and possession of a weapon on school property, according to an arrest report from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Strahsmeier also was charged with criminal mischief.

The incident occurred at 5:20 p.m. at Azalea Middle School in St. Petersburg, the Tampa Bay Times reported. According to an arrest report, Strahsmeier's daughters were involved in a "physical fight with multiple students" when she became involved and struck the victim "numerous times' in the back of the head while holding a purple Taser.

The victim suffered minor injuries, according to the arrest report.

Police said the incident was witnessed by students, and authorities also obtained video, the Times reported.

Strahsmeier was being held at the Pinellas County Jail Wednesday in lieu of $10,000 bond, the newspaper reported.
