A man leaving a New Year’s Eve party at a South Florida nightclub looking for a place to relieve himself fell into a canal and died, according to reports.
The Miami Herald and NBCMiami.com reported Miami-Dade police are looking into the death of a 27-year-old man whose body was found by police divers Friday morning.
According to the reports, the man, whose identity hasn’t been released, and a friend left the nightclub and walked across a street toward a nearby canal.
The Herald reported the men went to the canal at about 5:20 a.m. to relieve themselves when one of them slipped, hit his head and fell into the water.
Rescuers from several departments tried to find the man, but failed. Divers found the body some time after 7 a.m.
