There are at least 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic in the ocean. And 269,000 tons of that floats to the surface—that's about 90,000 cars worth of plastic that endangers wildlife and messes with the water supply and the environmental balance. (YouTube / epSos.de)
Moreover, it takes somewhere between 450 and 1,000 years for plastic to decompose.

Currently, Seabin is still in the crowdfunding stage, but it's gotten attention on social media.
