Father, son shoot each other in argument over walking family dog, police say
A father fatally injured his son when an argument over who would walk the family dog turned into a shootout Sunday morning.
Police found the 43-year-old father and his 22-year-old son injured from multiple gunshot wounds after being called to their home around 8:20 a.m. in the Burnside neighborhood in the city’s South Side.
The men, who have not been identified, were both taken to the hospital where the son was pronounced dead. The father is in critical condition, police said.

Two guns were recovered at the home. Police continue to investigate.
