A farmer in Washington state received a devastating diagnosis - stage 4 skin cancer.

Despite the news, work still needed to be done, including the harvesting of the wheat crop on his 1,200-acre farm, KHQ reported.

Fellow farmers found out about his plight and got together a work crew to help out Larry Yockey.

Over three months, Mike Doyle gathered crews and supplies to help Yockey and his family, KREM reported.

Sixty neighbors did three weeks worth of work in six hours as Yockey and his family watched, CBS News reported.

"It's not describable the gratitude I have for what's going on," Yockey told CBS News.

Yockey told KREM his stage 4 melanoma was diagnosed in February, but it has already spread to his bones. He has broken ribs and a broken hip.
