Add Wee Wee to the list of those saved during the onslaught of snow and freezing temperatures gripping the country.

The snow-stuck piglet was saved by a family driving by a road in Hagerstown, Maryland, Friday, according to the Washington Post.

Much of the east coast is buried in snow, shutting down transit in major cities, stranding drivers on roads and icy conditions resulting in fatal accidents on others.

In Maryland, Perry Smith spotted the shivering speck of pink trying to make its way through mounting piles of snow while driving back from a ski trip with his family.

The father grabbed the animal from the snow, swaddled the piglet in his daughter’s sweatshirt and put it in their car. The son cradled it, warmed it with towels and gave it a name.

“He would have died,” Smith told The Washington Post. “He would have lasted maybe another 30 minutes to an hour.”

An animal sanctuary has offered to take in the piglet once the snow lifts, according to The Washington Post.
