When the Jordan family hired a babysitter to watch their son last year, they never thought she would end up abusing him — and that the family dog would be the one to clue them in.

They decided to hire 22-year-old Alexis Khan to babysit Finn when they were busy. She passed a background check with flying colors, and they felt good about their decision. (Via WTKR)
But they had no idea what Khan was doing to their son while they weren’t looking.
The Jordans say about five months into Khan's babysitting, they started noticing their normally friendly dog, Killian, was very protective of Finn and aggressive when Khan came near their son. (Via NBC)
So they decided to place an iPhone under the couch and record what happened when Khan was alone with Finn. This is what they heard.
*Crying*
“Shut up, shut the f— up. Shut up.”
"It started with cussing, then you hear slap noises. I just wanted to reach through the audio tape and go back in time and just grab him up." (Via ABC)
"To know for five months, I had handed my child to a monster." (Via WHBQ)
After listening to the recording, the outraged parents immediately took their son to the hospital. Fortunately, doctors gave Finn a clean bill of health. (Via KTVI)
Charleston City Police arrested Khan, and she has since confessed to abusing Finn. As part of her plea, she will be put on a child abuse registry, which will prevent her from working with children again. (Via KNXV)
The Jordans say they’re happy their son’s ordeal possibly saved another child from being subjected to Khan’s abuse. They say Finn is doing just fine and has no lingering effects from the incident.
And as for Killian, he's not finished being a hero yet. He's currently training to be a psychiatric service dog. (Via Fox News)
