A Vine user posted dramatic video of a pickup truck careening over a Michigan interstate guardrail and plunging into a shallow creek below.
According to the Lansing State Journal, Mark Moreland, 58, was the man driving the truck that crashed. He was reportedly suffering from a medical condition and was being treated at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Mich. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The video was taken by Alexandria Stack on her iPhone, who was in a nearby vehicle.
The Lansing State Journal quotes Stack from an email as saying the pickup truck began to hit signs in the median at an estimated 70 mph.
"I decided to record it because it wasn't something you see everyday," Stack told the paper. "It was the most terrifying thing I had ever seen."
The Lansing State Journal reports Stack posted the video to Vine on Friday and by Monday was receiving "a crap ton" (in her words) of emails about it. Stack said she was offered $100 for the video, but she declined the offer.
"I felt bad taking money for a video of someone who got into a crash," Stack told the newspaper in a Tuesday interview.
Vine is a social media mobile application available for most smartphones. Users of Vine can create and post short videos.
