A dramatic video from a firefighter's body cam has been released, showing two dogs being thrown from a second-story window of a burning apartment building.
The complex caught fire on Valentine's Day in Modesto, California.
A mother and daughter, along with their dogs, were trapped inside a unit. The pair followed the instructions of firefighters to toss the dogs into a dumpster that the firefighters moved beneath the window.
Firefighters then used a ladder to rescue the women.
Both women and both dogs survived the frightening ordeal.
The Modesto City Council honored the two firefighters for their life-saving actions.
