Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has called for a drug test before the next debate with Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, insinuating in a speech in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, that Clinton was using drugs to alter her performance in the town hall debate.
"A lot of things are going on, folks. A lot of things," Trump said at the rally Saturday. "I think she’s actually getting pumped up; you want to know the truth? She’s getting pumped up. ... She’s getting pumped up for Wednesday night.”
Trump compared the presidential candidates to athletes and then said that if athletes are required to take drug tests, candidates should be held to the same standards.

“Athletes, they make them take a drug test. I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate,” Trump said, adding, "Because I don’t know what’s going on with her, but at the beginning of her last debate, she was all pumped up at the beginning, and at the end, it was like, huff, take me down. She could barely reach her car.”
The Clinton campaign told CNN that the remarks are the latest in Trump's "shameful attempts to undermine an election weeks before it happens."
