Deputy shoots woman, kills self in Florida
A Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy shot a woman before killing himself Thursday morning at Boynton Beach's Inlet Harbor Club, authorities confirmed.
City police officers responded to a gated community off Federal Highway north of Gateway Boulevard shortly after 8 a.m.
They found the deputy, who has not been identified, dead and a woman in critical condition. That woman, who also has not been identified, was rushed to Delray Medical Center's Trauma Center, according to police.
Palm Beach County sheriff’s authorities as well as Boynton Beach police were at the scene of the shooting.
City police said they would not identify either the man or the woman “until detectives have completed all necessary interviews and follow-up.”
