A detention deputy with the Lake County Sheriff's Office in Florida, was arrested in a road rage incident after police said he threatened a couple with a gun.
Thomas Thompson, 45, was arrested after Charles Newcomb and his wife, Sarah Newcomb, said Thompson pointed a gun at them and threatened to kill them.
According to the arrest affidavit, the Newcombs drove away from a Taco Bell restaurant in Mount Dora when a man in a vehicle using "what appeared to be audible, fake sounding police sirens" pulled up beside them.
According to Charles Newcomb, the man, who he and his wife identified as Thompson, pointed a black pistol at the couple, told them they ran two stop signs and said he was a cop.

Charles Newcomb said he yelled at Thompson and continued to drive south on U.S. 441. He told officers that Thompson continued to follow his car, swerving his vehicle several times and yelling that he would shoot him.
According to the report, Charles Newcomb said he threw a burrito at Thompson's vehicle and then pulled into a pharmacy parking lot to call 911.
Police said Thompson told them that as the Newcombs' vehicle left the Taco Bell parking lot he had to swerve to avoid a collision. He said Charles Newcomb threw something at his vehicle and that when he pulled up beside the Newcombs' car, he was holding his phone and showing them his work ID.
Thompson said he asked Charles Newcomb if he was OK.
According to police, Sarah Newcomb told police a story similar to the one her husband told.
"It's just very disappointing reading the arrest affidavit," said John Herrell, of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Police said they found a handgun in Thompson's vehicle that matched the weapons described by the Newcombs.
According to police, Thompson's personal vehicle was equipped with a working siren and front and rear emergency lights.
Police said they arrested Thompson and charged him with aggravated assault with a firearm and improper exhibition of a firearm.
Sheriff's officials said Thompson has been suspended while the incident is reviewed.
