An employee at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell was arrested on Monday after deputies said he stole the wallet and credit card of a deceased veteran and used the card to pay for pizza and video game cards.

Kevin Cullen, 33, has been an employee at the cemetery for five years and was there when a 93-year-old World War II Navy veteran, who passed away last year, was brought in to be buried in April, WTSP reports. Family members told WTSP that they realized the veteran's credit card was used the day of the funeral and found his urn uncovered when they went to check.

Cullen admitted to taking the wallet and credit card from the urn in order to buy pizza and video game cards, deputies said.

"We are cooperating fully with law enforcement and are in the process of reviewing procedures to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to prevent this rare occurrence from happening again,” the Florida National Cemetery said in a statement.

Cullen was arrested on charges of theft, identity fraud and disturbing a grave.
