Demi Lovato made it clear she wouldn't be at the MTV VMAs Monday night, but she has other things on her plate.

The singer and actress, who celebrated her 27th birthday last week, will be guest-starring on three episodes of the final season of "Will & Grace," according to EW.com.

"The singer-actress will play the role of Jenny, a guarded gal who comes into the life of Will (Eric McCormack) in an unexpected way," EW reported.

Entertainment Tonight reported that Lovato posted about the news on Instagram with a photo of herself appearing to hold a script on the show's set.

"Will & Grace & Demi," she captioned the image.

The three episodes will air in 2020. No specific air date has been announced, E! News reported.

"Will & Grace" originally aired for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006 on NBC. The sitcom, which stars McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally, returned for reunion seasons in 2017.
